Add your choice of borders and heart fabric to complete the color scheme. If made for a wedding or anniversary, the guests can sign the hearts for an heirloom that they will always treasure. Need more hearts? The border is wide enough to accommodate them! Bonus: If you trim carefully behind the hearts, you can use those scraps to make Charmed Hearts which would make a great baby gift when the little ones start to arrive.

Create half-square triangles in multiple sizes using the same tool. Whichever technique is used in the pattern you choose can be completed with this ruler. Instructions show four different ways to sew HST's. Method 1 - Create eight half-square triangles out of a set of squares. Method 2 - Cut ready to sew sets of triangles from strips. Method 3 - Mark and Sew 1/4 inch seam lines. Method 4 - Trim over-sized HST's to the correct size. Choose the method that works best for you.

15 Inch Seam Guide Tool This 1/2in x15in seam marking tool is long enough to mark the diagonal of a 10in square. Mark through the slotted center with any mechanical pencil and sew 1/4in on each side of the line. Or mark the sewing line by drawing on both outside edges of the tool. It's the perfect tool when making half-square triangle blocks.
