This quilt uses linen, Japanese taupe's and hand-dyed woven wools, and has a finished size of 55"x56
This quilt is easy to make with simple woven wool applique and stitchery. A little bit quirky and a whole lot of whimsical. There are many images you could use again and again to not only make the quilt, but you could make bags, cushions, pincushions, needle cases, and more! Each month there are at least 6 applique images to create, each being stitched on a natural linen background. These are then stitched down onto a background fabric, giving the illusion of the blocks floating around together. The techniques are very simple, using fusible web applique and a whip-stitch for the woven wool applique, and mainly backstitch for the stitchery component.
The First Payment for the Start Up Kit includes all the backgrounds, Japanese Taupe and Linen, the Pattern, DMC Floss, Block #1 and a pre-payment for the last four wool kits, blocks 9, 10, 11 & 12.
The remaining shipments included blocks, blocks 2-12, coming two per month for six months. Each block is $18.00 plus $5.99 shipping for a total each month $41.99. You will receive all pre-paid blocks at the end of the block of the month subscription.
We are offering the background in two options, blue or green along with the linen fabric, pattern, DMC floss & Block One. The check fabrics are the same design and scale, one being green and one being blue.
